Two cars in the same color can look completely different depending on the finish. Choosing the right one is as important as choosing the color itself. Here is a plain-English breakdown.
Gloss
A wet, mirror-like shine that mimics — or beats — factory paint. Gloss reads as clean and classic, shows off body lines, and is the easiest finish to keep looking sharp.
Satin
The in-between: softer than gloss, richer than matte. Satin has a subtle sheen that looks expensive and modern, and it hides minor imperfections better than full gloss.
Matte
A flat, no-shine finish with serious presence. Matte reads as stealthy and aggressive. It demands slightly more careful cleaning, but nothing else looks quite like it.
Metallic & color-shift
Metallic finishes add fine flake that moves with the light. Color-shift (or "flip") film changes hue depending on the viewing angle — the most head-turning option, and a true statement finish.
